****TRAVEL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE**** Travel to job sites is required for this job. Generally travel is no more that 60 miles. This is considered your normal commute to work. There is no billable mileage, there is no company vehicle. Please make sure candidate are aware of this. 6 month contract to hire: This is for project work. There is no guarantee for permanent hire unless this person proves their worth. Must be proactive, reliable (show up on time), willing to learn and have a positive attitude. Reporting to the Low Voltage Services Director, the ISP Technician - 2 is responsible for on-site installation of voice, data, fiber optic cable. A person in this role must follow proper procedures when performing an installation and must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers as it relates to job progress. Looking for technicians at the Tech2 level which is usually 3-5 years of commercial experience in the low voltage cabling industry – which means they can work independently as part of a crew.

• Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installation • Pull copper, coaxial and fiber optic cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environment • Terminate various brands of voice and data jacks such as: Hellerman-Tyton, Molex, Signamax, Panduit, Commscope, etc. • Terminate data cables on patch panels along with proper dressing techniques • Terminate SM and MM fiber optic cable using various connecting methods (crimp-lock, adhesives, Unicams, fusion splicing), with a variety of connector types (SC, LC, ST, etc.) • Terminate and test high count feeder cables for voice riser applications • Test copper cable installations, and perform basic troubleshooting • Assist with testing fiber optic cable with power meter and light source (Fluke), OTDR tester, voltage meter, and other test equipment associated with projects • Build out data closets – install ladder rack, cable trays, data racks and rack-mount equipment • Read blue prints and identify cabling pathways, maintaining compliance with construction project specifications • Train and mentor Level 1 Technicians • Comply with and use industry standard grounding and bonding procedures • Utilize approved fire stopping methods and materials • Comply with all CableCom, BICSI, building code and safety standards • Communicate with Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, other coworkers and customers regarding project status • Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, and other job-related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner • Prepare accurate field As-Built drawing upon completion of project • Actively participate in the maintenance of ISP tools, equipment and vehicles owned by the company • Act as a lead for various small to medium projects, as assigned • Maintain accurate truck stock
