Job Title: Project Coordinator - Construction



Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with billing experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in billing and accounting practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination:Assist in planning, initiating, and managing construction project schedules and procedures. Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties to ensure work is done according to plan.
  • Billing and Accounting:Prepare draft invoices (pre-bills) including inputting of Company-Owned Equipment/Mileage Usage Reports. Submit draft invoices to Project Managers (PMs) and ensure changes are made accurately and in a timely manner. Compile billing support/backup documentation and prepare final invoices.
  • Documentation:Prepare, review, and update project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical reports. Ensure project files are accurate and current.
  • Communication:Communicate with project stakeholders, contractors, and other relevant parties to keep them informed of progress and any changes. Discuss issues (e.g., holds or major transfers) with Project Accountants (PA) and PMs as necessary.
  • Problem Solving:Identify and resolve any potential issues or roadblocks to the successful completion of the project. Address any delays or changes in project scope.
  • Compliance:Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. Assist PA with completion of Revenue Recognition Checklists and provide support regarding Accounts Receivable (AR) issues.
  • Operational Support:Provide operational support, escalation management, and data quality assurance. Liaise with AGS Professional Services Group (PSG) for documentation updates, auditing, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:1-3 years of experience in construction project coordination and billing/accounting practices.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Ability to work with all levels of operations staff.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
