Job Overview The Sales Support Coordinator will be tasked with Ensuring timely and efficient processing of customer inquiries related to orders, quotations, technical product support, product complaints, returns and customer specific issues for all Hubbell internal and external (assigned territory) customers. This Individual will be responsible to provide both primary and secondary support for various functional areas within the department including Technical Service, Customer Service, Quotations, and Value Add. In addition, the individual will be responsible for developing a working knowledge about the various aspects and secondary factors affecting customer service and the sales effort in order to effectively incorporate sales and cost reduction practices that will contribute towards continued division growth into daily routine. A Day In The Life<ul> <li>Develop knowledge of the industry, competitive market and the sales process to work as a team with field sales to ensure optimum service to each account. Enhance the FSR's efforts by developing strong service ties with assigned customer base and providing feedback and follow-up on significant quotations, key contacts, sales leads, potential problems, trends, competition, policy and product updates. </li> <li>Coordinate the information flow between customers/field sales and other departments to efficiently handle and respond to; customer orders, expedite requests/project order status reporting, product technical and application questions, quotations, return/credit requests, new Distributor applications and general inquiries. Maintain up-to-date centralized records of key contacts as well as any special terms and conditions for assigned accounts. </li> <li>Maintain a strong technical understanding of all products and programs and how they relate to Industry standards in order to provide technical/product application assistance to our customer base (Distributor, CIs, End-Users). Recommend alternative items on quotes/inquiries/orders to meet competitive levels and avoid order cancellations. </li> <li>Provide positive impact to product line margins through analysis and negotiation of customer returns (IM and standard) to exclude the return of obsolete material and to minimize the return of any excess material back into Hubbell stock. </li> <li>Provide positive impact to profitability through analysis and negotiation of freight costs (with Distribution) prior to processing of special requests. </li> <li>Document customer product complaints in the system and follow-up with the applicable departments (Product Management and QAME) to ensure timely resolution and customer response. Job Overview Hubbell Connectors, Grounding, & Tooling focuses on products to support two Businesses (Burndy and Connector Manufacturing Company)With markets in renewable energy, transportation, data center, telecom, utility, extreme environment, power generation and oil & gas, we guarantee that our products set the standards for industry solutions. The Director of Business Development (Utility) is responsible for supporting and growing sales and proﬁts for the related market channels, provide marketing input and promote product line growth principally through the creative use of both existing and new products, supported by educational background, industry experience, and contact with customers and prospects. The individual must possess a unique blend of business and technical knowledge, a big- picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The individual must understand customer problems, solution attributes and identify innovative product and/or service solutions to assist the broader market. The Individual will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for assigned products, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers to promote Hubbell and its associated product solutions. The individual must work cross functionally with other Hubbell groups and business units to drive alignment and execution to strategy. A Day In The Life<ul> <li>Responsible for examining, developing, and recommending product line strategies for Utility applications across all of Connectors Grounding & Tooling Businesses.</li> <li>Champions research and analysis required for economic justiﬁcation, competitive pricing, ﬁnancial models, features and applications.</li> <li>Responsible to convene/attend regular team meetings required advancing execution of projects and assignments.</li> <li>As required, attend sales meetings and visit customers and end-users; conducting product training presentations and research.</li> <li>Shall be a source of intelligence concerning product and market speciﬁc issues, competitors, and business trends, governmental regulations and, as required, produce written reports and summarize for internal business correspondence and attend sales meetings and visit customers and end-users; conducting product training presentations and research.</li> <li>Develops strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships with existing and emerging market product and technology participants.</li> <li>Assists in the development of supporting new product launch material with Marketing and Marketing Communication Managers.</li> <li>Shall maintain competitive cross reference of catalog numbers for assigned products.</li> <li>Responsible to provide an exemplary level of support to the sales organization and customers on product (technical and application questions).</li> </ul>What will help you thrive in this role? A Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent market experience in a technical ﬁeld or business ﬁeld is preferred, along with a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience. Knowledge of current and emerging Technologies, methods, and standards, applications, related products and channels of distribution within the Renewables Market. Preferable experience in the Utility Space, related design and engineering processes and market applications Understanding standards and codes Must be self-reliant, resourceful, creative skills and possess acumen in executing business decisions. Excellent oral and writing communication skills needed to eﬀectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public. Ability to organize and manage ad-hoc" teams to support the development of business opportunities. Must apply critical thinking skills to determine best approach to bring new products to market and to work with engineering, operations and marketing and sales staﬀs. Capable of occasional travel to attend meetings or visit customers. Strong mathematic, analytical and computer skills.
